Race With Purpose
Located right across the bridge in Toms River, Ocean of Love is a non-profit, charitable 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to helping Ocean County children with cancer and their families.

The Lavallette 8k aspires to be a venue for Ocean of Love’s families, as well as the greater Lavallette community, to come together and celebrate the summer!
A Community Affair
Dating back to the mid-90s, the event was once known as the “Lavallette 5-Mile” race and subsequently became the “Lavallette 8k” in 2007. Unfortunately, the race hasn’t been held since the devastation of Super Storm Sandy in 2012. This year we hope to reestablish the race as a summer staple for years to come. What better way to prove we are “Jersey Strong” ten years later?!
